MOORESVILLE — Brad and Joan Justus began a new chapter in the life of their marketing business, Jarbo, on Wednesday.

Brad and Joan cut the proverbial red ribbon alongside the Greater Mooresville Chamber of Commerce and celebrated the opening of their new location with an open house the same day.

According to Brad and Joan, Jarbo has moved to its new location after experiencing continuous growth.

Jarbo was started in Mooresville almost 20 years ago after Brad and Joan decided that they wanted to start their own business.

“We both worked in marketing agencies before. … We both had other jobs and decided that we wanted to start our own business, we want to do marketing, we want to feel good about helping people tell their stories,” said Joan. “We like to tell stories. We like to help people get their message out.

“And we like Mooresville. It’s a great location for what we do. We can get anywhere in Indianapolis, we can get down to Bloomington quickly.”

The couple describe Jarbo as a “full-service marketing agency” that is focused on story-telling for its clients using marketing tools.

“It entails telling our clients’ brand story, whether that’s website, social media, logo, automated email marketing campaigns,” said Brad Justus.

Other services provided by Jarbo include annual reports, catalogs, event displays, newsletters, videography, surveys and brochures.

According to Brad and Joan, the world of marketing has changed much over the past 20 years. However, even has marketing tactics have changed, the important principles remain the same.

“It’s become a digital world,” said Brad. “The same marketing principles that apply to print, apply to digital.”

One of the things that have changed as marketing has become increasingly digital, is the ubiquity of social media. Social media allows businesses to reach customers they might not connect with otherwise and serves as a way for companies to further build their brands. Jarbo is able to assist business with social media by teaching them the ins-and-outs and aiding in the launch of their pages.

“We help them launch their social media. … Especially some of the small businesses, we can help them first understand it, then get them going with their own social media marketing,” said Joan.

Brad and Joan noted that as Jarbo is growing, so are many businesses in Mooresville and said that they were happy to see other local business thriving and looked forward to continuing to help businesses with their marketing needs.

Jarbo is now located at 954 N. Samuel Moore Parkway, Suite A.
